ESP School was born from 25 years inside the classroom — and from a restlessness. After working in major language networks as a teacher, coordinator and national teacher trainer, and reaching the pedagogical management of an American binational center, Fernanda Aguilar kept seeing the same pattern: intelligent, hard-working adults restarting from zero, again and again, without ever understanding how they learn.
With a degree in Psychology from PUC Minas, she brought into language teaching what psychology knows about human beings — Person-Centered, Humanistic-Existential and Cognitive Psychology. From that came a method that personalizes teaching around each learner's style.
The more aware learners are of their own process, the better they learn.
