What sets us apart

ESP means English with a precise destination.

English for Specific Purposes is English designed for your purpose — the meeting you need to lead, the exam you need to pass, the country you are moving to. Instead of working through a generic curriculum for years, you learn exactly what your life demands, in the time it allows.

From your goal, backwards

First we understand where you need to arrive. The content is built from there — not the other way around.

Less time, more results

Because it is focused, ESP is shorter than traditional language courses — with immediate application in your own context.

Learning psychology

A test identifies your dominant learning style, and the methodology adapts to it. Adults learn best when they understand how they learn.

Methodology

An action plan that is yours alone.

1

Learning-style diagnosis

We apply a test that detects your dominant learning style — the foundation for all the personalization that follows.

2

An action plan with tangible goals

We define the methodology and the teaching-learning approach with progressive, measurable goals, adjusted along the way.

3

The four skills in real situations

Reading, writing, speaking and listening — always in real communication contexts connected to your specific reality.

4

Assessment and performance reports

Unit tests (two of them oral), with CEFR-based attendance and performance reports — for you and, in corporate programs, for HR.

What sustains the method

  • Applied Educational Psychology — learning-style testing and continuous methodological adjustment
  • Technology in every class — apps, platforms and resources selected for your profile
  • The CEFR as reference — the international standard that describes proficiency objectively
  • Learner awareness — the more aware you are of your own process, the better you learn
  • Certification — 70% achievement and 75% attendance for the certificate of completion, where applicable

International standard

The CEFR is the map. Your plan is the route.

The Common European Framework of Reference describes proficiency by what you can do with the language — not by time spent in class. It is the objective ruler that lets us diagnose your starting point and design a Personalized Action Plan with verifiable goals.

Fernanda Aguilar

ESP School was born from 25 years inside the classroom — and from a restlessness. After working in major language networks as a teacher, coordinator and national teacher trainer, and reaching the pedagogical management of an American binational center, Fernanda Aguilar kept seeing the same pattern: intelligent, hard-working adults restarting from zero, again and again, without ever understanding how they learn.

With a degree in Psychology from PUC Minas, she brought into language teaching what psychology knows about human beings — Person-Centered, Humanistic-Existential and Cognitive Psychology. From that came a method that personalizes teaching around each learner's style.

The more aware learners are of their own process, the better they learn.

Official representative in Brazil

Since October 2025, ESP School has been an International Educational Advisor for Saint Mary's University of Minnesota (USA) — an exclusive educational advising partnership in Brazil established at the invitation of the university's International Partnerships Office. We guide each student end to end.

Stories of people who got there.

Learners who trusted ESP School with their English — and what changed afterwards.

Flávia Faria, ESP School student
"

I always wanted to speak English fluently but, despite taking several courses over the years, I couldn't communicate effectively. I felt deeply ashamed of making mistakes, and that held me back.

My relationship with English changed when I started at ESP School. The methodology makes learning light, enjoyable and motivating. I came to believe in my own potential, and my progress happened naturally.

Today I work at a multinational company, handling international contracts and using English full-time with people from different countries. I'm deeply grateful to ESP School for being my gateway to a global career.

For a long time, English was a distant dream. I knew how important it was, but I couldn't truly make progress. My biggest challenge was the lack of confidence to speak, to make mistakes and to communicate.

At ESP School, that began to change. Today I feel far more confident to talk and to travel, and I keep learning with the certainty that I'm capable. That transformation went well beyond the language: it strengthened my self-confidence.

I've studied with Fernanda for four years and I've never felt like just another student. The support is exclusive, the classes are personalized, and there's genuine care in respecting each student's pace.

"

Before studying at ESP School, I always felt insecure about using English in real situations. Reading scientific papers was slow, and following international lectures was a real challenge.

Today I read medical publications far more easily and follow presentations in English with confidence — I no longer feel intimidated by the language. The real difference was a truly personalized learning experience: Fernanda understood my goals and adapted the classes to my needs.

Studying at ESP School was one of the best investments I've made. Beyond developing my English, I gained more confidence and direct access to knowledge produced internationally.

Before ESP School, I didn't have the confidence to speak English, and I felt that traditional group classes couldn't keep up with my individual progress.

ESP School's real difference is connecting the language to its cultural context — because learning English isn't only about communicating within our own reality, it's about being ready for the world.

Today English is no longer a differentiator; it has become an essential skill. ESP School is the right choice for anyone who wants to stand out and develop their potential in a unique way.
